This position offers an exciting opportunity to assist our Healthcare Technology Management team with the preparation and transitioning of radiology/imaging equipment to the new, state-of-the-art Arthur M. Blank Hospital over the course of the next year. The advanced and innovative technology at this campus will allow a huge leap forward in how we care for Georgia's kids. The radiology repair team at Arthur M. Blank Hospital will service equipment such as general and mobile X-Ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and more. Job Description
Provides complete and timely repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of required equipment faster and more economically than any outside vendor. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, meets regulatory requirements, and maintains required records. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Experience
- 4 years of experience in diagnostic imaging equipment repair
Education
- Associate of Science or equivalent in Biomedical Technology or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Certification Summary
- No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in various hardware/software applications and equipment database programs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be detailed oriented and have excellent follow through skills
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures proper maintenance of all imaging equipment, including warranty, leased, and loaner equipment.
- Diagnoses problems, repairs to circuit board level, and re-calibrates equipment.
- Tracks, schedules, and completes preventive maintenance checks by due dates.
- Maintains ongoing active communications with clinicians regarding equipment status.
- Coordinates outside repairs with radiology equipment manufacturers.
- Assists in or performs incident investigations.
- Ensures equipment is properly tested before being returned to service.
