Summary
The position for retention specialist requires exceptional customer service skills, proficiency with windows programs and an expertise with handling escalated issues. A retention specialist will deploy retention strategies to increase loyalty and retain business utilizing various tools and resources provided. Daily activity involves data entry to maintain accounts and document resolution. This person has a positive attitude, be an effective listener, negotiator and closer to be successful in the position. This position reports to the Retention Supervisor.
Tasks
• Communicating with customers and support staff
• Analyzing customer behavior
• Gathering information about customer complaints and history
• Developing an effective retention strategy based on customer feedback
• Negotiating with customers to retain business
• Resolving customer concern with effective measures
• Documentation and follow up
• Build positive relationships with customers
Qualifications
• A high school diploma/equivalent or equivalent experience (3+ years in a related area)
• Experience in a high-volume call center
• Excellent customer service skills and a persuasive attitude
• Strong conflict resolution and organizational skills
• Some sales background is a plus
• Knowledge of Windows based software
• Proficient with MS Office
• Empathy and patience
