Hickoryrecord.com and the Hickory Daily Record, a Lee Enterprises company, are seeking a sports-minded journalist to join our award-winning staff. We are looking for someone who will lead our sports efforts on the digital front and in our 3-day-a-week print product.
We relish feature stories about athletes in the Hickory region, as well as analysis pieces that look ahead with insight. The best candidates will have excellent grammar and spelling skills, a solid base of ethical decision-making and the ability to work independently. Top candidates must be able to meet deadlines and adapt to digital trends.
